Oats Idli

Ingredients

  • 01.

    Roast oats & grind them in a mixer grinder or mortar pestle. Like this picture image no 8820 & keep it aside.

  • 02.

    Now in a pan heat oil, put rai, curry leaves, green chili, chana daal & peas. saute them for a min.

  • 03.

    Add oats powder & semolina (suji) & stir it for another min.

  • 04.

    Now shift them in a bowl. mix curd, salt, baking powder, & coriander leaves. Leave for 5-7 mins.

  • 05.

    Add little water to mixture if it gets too dry.

  • 06.

    Now put them in idli mold & steam cook them.

  • 07.

    After 12-15 mins check them & de-mold them once a skewer comes out clean.

  • 08.

    I found a easy way to de-mold idlis.. take cold water in a bowl & dip spoon to make it cool. With that spoon you can take out idlis very easily.

  • 09.

    Enjoy it hot with tomato ketch-up or moongfali (groundnut) chutni as a breakfast or whenever hunger knocks you.
